It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rabbi Aron Gertz zt”l, a longtime and devoted rebbi at Yeshiva Karlin-Stolin of Boro Park, who spent many years dedicated to the chinuch and growth of generations of talmidim.
Rabbi Gertz was known as a devoted mechanech whose life centered around his talmidim and their development. Over the course of his many years in the classroom, he invested himself in transmitting Torah while forming lasting relationships with the talmidim entrusted to his care.
For Rabbi Gertz, chinuch extended well beyond teaching the material of a limud. He took a genuine interest in his talmidim as individuals, seeking to help each one grow according to his abilities and encouraging them as they developed in Torah and avodas Hashem.
The levayah will take place Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel, located at 613 Ramsey Avenue in Lakewood, NJ.
