Rabbi Moshe Margereten Gives Zelensky a Mezuzah

Rabbi Moshe Margereten of Tzedek Association met yesterday with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in Kiev.

The meeting was organized by Zelensky’s father, Oleksandr Zelensky, as Tzedek has been involved in helping Ukrainian refugees.

Margereten presented Zelensky with a mezuzah with his name engraved on it in silver.

The Jewish President thanked him for the gift and said that he was sure that the mezuzah would protect him.

During the meeting, Margareten conveyed warm wishes from several American senators.

A source who was present at the meeting said that “the security was crazy. We didn’t know where we were being taken, and we found ourselves in Zelensky’s office.”

Margereten and the person who accompanied him were taken through a dark passage with flashing lights that gave no opportunity for them to understand where they were located. The members of Zelensky’s office took pictures of the meeting, and apparently they will publish the pictures in the coming days.

The president was excited to see Margereten and said that he plans to visit the US. Margereten invited him to Skver.
