Just 2 weeks before his petira, Maran Sar HaTorah Rav Chaim Kanievsky allowed his study, where he had learned day in and day out for so many years, to be transformed into a matzah bakery. He personally poured the water and watched over the baking.
246 matzos mitzvos were baked for supporters of Mosdos HaTorah in Eretz Yisroel.
These matzos are a parting שליחות from מרן to the Rosh Yeshiva R’ Sholom Ber Sorotzkin shlita, to ensure the support of Mosdos HaTorah will remain steadfast and strong.
These very 246 matzos arrived in America this morning.
