The defiant Rebbe of the chasidic sect that held a massive secret wedding in Brooklyn told his followers days later, “We won’t surrender.”

Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum, the spiritual leader of the Satmar sect in upstate Kiryas Joel, was just as stubborn about the community’s schools remaining open despite government orders to close as COVID-19 cases spike.

“We won’t surrender. We won’t close down. And indeed, we didn’t close down, neither the boys’ schools, nor the girls’ schools, nor the yeshivas. Neither the large ones nor the small ones. Everything proceeded as usual,” the rebbe said in a speech that was posted in Yiddish on flyers in Borough Park.

  1. Satmar and other kehillos should tell them that since coronavirus is a hoax concocted in 2017 for the purpose of draining the swamp and arresting the Deep State criminals and other elite criminals globally, they will be on guard that only heimishe chassidim / mispallelim will be allowed entry. Anybody that looks suspicious will be given over to the authorities.

  2. דער רבי איז גערעכט, מיר זענען ניטמורה פון זייערער פאלשקייטען. די זאלסעט וויסען אז COVID-19
    איז א ליגענט.

  3. This zealousness is only in reference to avodas hashem and a Gezairah on Torah ,
in this ruling Rav Aharon is in good Company !
Rav Elchonon said the same :
His well known Quote :When in Galus we bow to the Gezairos of Government if and when it is a Monetary Matter or inconvenience we then bow down and are subserviant to the Gzaras Galus ,However
If there is a Gezairah on Torah learning then we awaken like Lions and fight fearlessly loudly with no fear.
Esau has no right to curtail our Avodas Hashem .end
Thus has been the derech/Way of Klal Yisroel.

  4. what a terrible shtus to have made the big wedding against the gov. guidelines.Where is the common sense? Why not care about what the media will report? Why is a big wedding y’horig v’aal yavor? Why not save the fight for limud h’atorah? Why is it all or nothing? as if by making a smaller wedding it means we won’t fight for yeshivos? This was a terrible mistake, and doubling down is another mistake. The Supreme Court is a limited win, we still are under the governor and mayor for many issues that they won’t step in to help, so why act defiant, and push for shtussim?
