Rav Avrohom Dov Auerbach zt”l

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Avrohom Dov Auerbach zt”l. He was 86 years old.

Rav Auerbach was the rov of the city of Tiveriah. He passed away this morning at Poriya Medical Center.

Rav Auerbach had battled severe illness for the past few years.

The levaya will be held at 4 p.m. at the main shul in Tiveriah, followed by kevurah in the local bais hachaim.

Rav Avrohom Dov was a son of the posek hador, Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach zt”l, and a noted talmid chochom in his own right.

Born and raised in Shaarei Chesed, Rav Auerbach learned at Yeshiva Etz Chaim and later at Slabodka. His wife, Rebbetzin Yaffa Miriam, is a daughter of Rav Asher Zev Werner, rov of Tiveriah. Rav Auerbach later took over for his father-in-law, serving as rov in Tiveriah for four decades.
