It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the sudden petirah of Rav Ezriel Bergman zt”l. He was 70.
Rav Ezriel was a son of Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Rashbi in Bnei Brak, and a grandson of Maran Rav Elazar Menachem Man Shach zt”l.
As reported here on Matzav, Rav Meir Tzvi is en route to the United States to participate in the Adirei Hatorah event on Sunday at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia. It is not yet clear how the sudden petirah of the rosh yeshiva’s son will affect trip to the United States.
Sources state that under his doctor’s orders, Rav Bergman will not immediately return to Eretz Yisroel, but will sit shivah in the United States.
The levayah will be held tonight at 10:30 p.m. at Yeshivas Rashbi in Bnei Brak, followed by kevurah in Elad.
