  1. Yasher koach to the Rosh Yeshiva.

    1) Chasidim – he is talking about Williamsburg type Chasidim in particular.

    2) Translate the takonos from Yiddish into English (for those not fluent in Yiddish – or make a bilingual version) and post it in workplaces where Yeshivish types work.

  2. Why do the Hanhala and school administration call me Goldie instead of Mrs. Frankel? Isn’t it inappropriate?

    • The Rosh Yeshiva was not saying these things are inherently inappropriate, just that that they are strongly advisable as proper and strict gedarim

  3. This is true in many offices but in Lakewood specifically there are offices that adhere to the most stringent halachos. There are offices in Lakewood that have separate kitchenette and common areas for men and woman with many other “Gedarim” put in place. Daven Mincha in one of these new office buildings and you will be pleasantly surprised to see what values some of todays bal habatim have instilled in their company and workforce. Ashreinu.
There isn’t non work related talk or actions from any employees because its clear from the top (bosses) what their hashkafos are.

  4. I think my filter blocked his speech, but (free) Doeihu emails are a great idea for anyone in the work-place who interacts at all with the opposite gender.

  5. A few nokudos I’d like to point out, which some men and woman alike probably do not realize.
    1. First name basis, should never be used even when not talking to the subject person.
    2. No perfume or cologne should be worn in the office.
    3. Davening in the office, requires a hat and jacket as it says in halacha. Cellphones should be off during davening.

  6. “We are outdone”
I didn’t know there as some sort of competition…
I think we should first teach the yungerleit the torahdige hashkafa about working, period. Unfortunately, the yeshivish system gave us ZERO guidance in this field, as this should be avoided entirely. Unless you are gonna make a billion dollars and support the yeshivas.
