As reported earlier, Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman arrived this morning in the United States as he begins a multi-country visit. Also, this morning, Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel, venerable rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Mir-Yerushalayim, arrived in the United States. Matzav.com learned that Rav Shteinman and Rav Finkel actually flew on the same flight and sat right next to each other.
Rav Binyomin Carlebach, close confidante of Rav Finkel and R”M at Mir-Yerushalayim who accompanies Rav Finkel on his overseas trips, said that the flight was “soothing” and the two gedolei Torah demonstrated tremendous kavod for one another.
Rav Shteinman will be heading to Mexico and Panama to visit the Jewish communities there, with visits later in the week to Lakewood, NJ, and Monsey, NY.
Rav Finkel visited Lakewood earlier this afternoon and delivered divrei chizuk to thousands at Beth Medrash Govoha. This evening, he will be attending the wedding of a daughter of noted Torah supporter Reb Yossi Stern of Edison, NJ.

Rav Binyomin Carlebach is Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel’s close confidante for good reason. They are brothers-in-law. They both married daughters of Rav Beinish Finkel.
Mordechai, if I may quote Rav Binyamin Carlebach, your clarification is as soothing as the flight was.
Why does matzav waste time reporting such innane stories, who cares if they were on the same flight.
Did they sit or stand when they davened on the plane???
Rav Shteinman will be going to Panama to visit a very chusheveh and ehrliche Rav, Hagaon Betzalel Blidstein Shlita. May he have much hatzlachah .
