Bechasdei Hashem Yisborach, after three weeks of hospitalization at the intensive care unit at Bnei Brak’s Maayanei Hayeshuah Hospital, Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman has been released to his home on Rechov Chazon Ish.

After a significant improvement in his health status, Rav Shteinman’s doctors determined that he could go home today, but his close meshameish, Koby Rosenstein, stresses that Rav Shteinman “is still suffering from general weakness” and the public should continue davening.

Rav Shteinman was first hospitalized on Motzoei Shabbos three weeks ago due to acute respiratory distress. Since then, his condition has fluctuated.

Before leaving the hospital, Rav Shteinman personally thanked the doctors who treated him with great devotion.

His family thanked the medical staff of the ICU, headed by Dr. Eliyahu Sorkin.

They announced that Rav Shteinman will not be receiving the public for the immediate future.

Meanwhile, Rav Shteinman returned to a newly renovated gome. As previously reported on Matzav, renovations were done at Rav Shteinman’s home for the first time in over 60 years. The apartment is now divided into two sections, one for his daily minyanim and for meeting with the public and a second, private section, where Rav Shteinman and his mishpacha and caretakers will be.

In addition, a new restroom was installed in the apartment.

All are asked to continue davening for Rav Aharon Yehuda Leib ben Gittel Faiga.
