It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Yitzchok Gedalia Orenstein zt”l of Bnei Brak. He was 66.
Rav Orenstein was niftar on Shabbos at Maayanei Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak.
Rav Orenstein was born on 7 Tammuz 66 years ago, a son of Rav Yosef Simcha Orenstein.
His wife, Mrs. Yehudis Orenstein, is a daughter of the late Rav Reuven Elitzur.
Rav Orenstein was known as an outstanding talmid chochom who sat and learned at the Yeshivas Slabodka kollel in Bnei Brak.
He authored the seforim Perek Ailu Metzios Hamvuar and Perek Hashoel Hamevuar, which were widely received with acclaim across the Olam HaTorah.
The levayah was held last night at his home at 18 Rechov Elisha in Bnei Brak, followed by kevurah at the bais hachaim in Be’er Yaakov.
