It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Yitzchok Hakohein Schwadron zt”l. He was 83 years old.
Rav Schwadron was niftar at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Yerushalayim.
Rav Schwadron was the only son of his father, Rav Shalom Mordechai Hakohein Schwadron zt”l, the renowned maggid of Yerushalayim, and his mother, Rebbetzin Leah, a daughter of Rav Chaim Yehuda Leib Auerbach.
Rav Yitzchok learned at Yeshiva Knesses Chizkiyahu, under Rav Eliyahu Lopian, and later at Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak.
He married his wife, Rebbetzin Miriam, and became a rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Shaar Hashomayim.
His home on Rechov Yeshayahu in Yerushalayim was open to one and all, and he would regularly host talmidim from Mir, Brisk and other yeshivos for seudos.
He is survived by his ten children and many grandchildren.
The levayah was held last night at Shamgar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim, followed by kevurah on Har Hazeisim.

A tzaddik of a yid. We used to eat seudos by him. He was always so full of life, always had a story or a vort to share. May he be a Meilitz Yosher for his family and all of Klal Yisroel in this difficult time.
