In the midst of the shivah for Rav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l at 23 Rechov Rashbam in Bnei Brak, Rav Chaim’s youngest son, Rav Yitzchok Shaul Kanievsky, rov of the Lederman Shul, fainted.
Following this, the shivah house was closed and Rav Yitzchok Shaul received medical treatment in a side room from Hatzolah paramedics.
It is not clear what caused Rav Yitzchok Shaul to faint.
Thousands have been streaming to 23 Rechov Rashbam since the levayah on Sunday, with little reprieve for the aveilim. The afternoon break at the shivah house will now be extended, giving the aveilim more time to rest and catch their breath.
Rav Yitzchok Shaul was appointed rov of the Lederman Shul on Sunday.
All are asked to daven for Rav Yitzchok Shaul ben Batsheva Esther.
