It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rebbetzin Chaya (Elaine) Stolper a”h. she was 87 years old.

Rebbetzin Stolper was the wife of Rabbi Pinchas Aryeh Stolper zt”l, the an internationally renowned pioneer in Jewish youth work who was the founder of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth (NCSY), serving as National Director from its infancy through its seminal role in the international teshuvah movement. Rabbi Stolper was niftar at age 90 just six weeks ago.

Rebbetzin Stolper passed away in Chicago on Friday and kevurah was held today on Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.

She is survived by her children, Rabbi Akiva Stolper and Rebbetzin Michal Cohen. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mrs. Malkie Kaweblum of Lakewood.

Rabbi Akiva Stolper is sitting shivah at 924 East 24th Street in Flatbush from tomorrow morning thru Thursday. He will then sit shivah in Chicago until Sunday. Rebbetzin Michal Cohen is sitting shivah at 2949 West Coyle Avenue in Chicago.
