A report stemming from the negotiations on hostages and ceasefire arrangements in Paris has surfaced, detailing a US proposition. As per Channel 13 News, the proposal entails Israel’s release of 404 individuals labeled as terrorists or security prisoners, coupled with a temporary halt in its military operations within Gaza. In return, Hamas would release 40 out of the 134 hostages it still detains in Gaza.
The breakdown suggests that among the freed hostages, 15 would be adults aged 50 or older, 13 would be those suffering from illnesses, and seven would be women. Furthermore, the release would encompass five female IDF soldiers.
The proposed ratio indicates that approximately ten security prisoners and terrorists would be set free for every hostage released by Hamas.
Hamas purportedly insists on the liberation of terrorists serving extensive prison sentences for grave offenses, particularly in response to the release of any IDF personnel. Additionally, the organization demands the freedom of 47 individuals who were initially part of the 2011 Schalit deal but were subsequently reapprehended.
Even if this framework were to materialize, over 90 hostages would remain under Hamas’ control. Among them, it is believed that around 32 have succumbed to death while in captivity or during their abduction on October 7.
Nonetheless, the report cautions against interpreting the existence of this outline as indicative of significant headway in the negotiations to secure the hostages’ release. This stagnation primarily arises from Hamas’ apparent lack of enthusiasm for advancing the discussions.

so someone comes into your house and robs you of all your possesions and beats you to a pulp. He’s arrested. At the trial he says he’ll give back 1/3 of the things he stole but you can’t press charges for stealing and almost killing you.
I dont know if this is a good comparison but you get the drift…nothing makes sense anymore.
