Reports from media sources in Lebanon emerged overnight Tuesday, detailing an air strike in the southern region of the country, allegedly attributed to Israel, resulting in the loss of at least seven lives.

According to two security officials speaking to Reuters, the strike occurred in the village of Hebbariye.

Al Mayadeen, a Lebanese network associated with Hezbollah, specified that the strike targeted the premises of the Islamic Emergency and Relief Center situated within the village.

The report further mentioned ongoing efforts to search for additional casualties amidst the debris.

Israel has thus far refrained from issuing any official statements regarding the developments reported in Lebanon.

Hezbollah, in response to the strike, released a statement affirming that Israel’s actions would not be left unanswered.

Earlier on Tuesday, an estimated 50 rockets were launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel, with the IDF Aerial Defense Array intercepting multiple projectiles, while others landed in unpopulated areas.

In a subsequent development on Tuesday evening, IDF fighter jets conducted airstrikes on a landing zone and several military installations within a Hezbollah-operated military compound in the Tell Wardeen area, situated deep within Lebanese territory.

Additional strikes were carried out by IDF fighter jets on a Hezbollah weapons depot in Hanine and a military facility in Beit Yahoun, both located in southern Lebanon.
