Ryan Declines To Back Calls To Hold Sessions In Contempt

Speaker Paul Ryan on Tuesday said he hasn’t spoken to House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes about his call to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress, but did call on the Justice Department to release classified documents related to the Russian investigation.

Other members of GOP leadership have also expressed concern over the DOJ’s decision to withhold the information but stopped short of calling for Sessions to be held in contempt.

Nunes said during an appearance on “Fox and Friends Sunday” that “the only thing left to do” is hold Sessions in contempt after concluding the DOJ isn’t going to comply with his request for documents pertaining to the special counsel’s Russia investigation.

  1. Jeff floppy ears Sessions has been a disaster from day one. It was a major mistake to hire the loser. He has done nothing other than to undermine President Trump at every turn. He has clearly shown the Nation that he is an incompetent bafoon. He shouldn’t get paid a single penny more of the hardworking Americans tax money. Jeff should be fired effective immediately!
