Saudi Arabia permitted Monday Israeli airliners to fly over its airspace en route to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Hebrew media reported.
Following Jerusalem’s historic peace treaty signed with the UAE, regular commercial flights between the two nations are about to commence in around two weeks.
Until now, Israeli airliners have not received a permanent approval for direct flights over Saudi, which would have given them fierce competition versus other airliners that have that permission.
