  1. Thank you to all who have voted for the socialist liberal leftist Democrats. You are responsible for the downfall of society.

Anyone who likes this new law, which did not go to the people to vote for, is a pothead!

If you claim this is not a gateway drug or anything can be worried about, you are also a pothead!

  2. There are no signatures on this, only names of Rabbonim who purportedly agree with the message. And since it is not on a letterhead, there is no way of knowing whether this is just someone trying to make people look silly, or a legitimate Kol Koreh.
For clarities sake, I am not saying that it is a hoax, I am just saying that it could be. I am also not a proponent of using marijuana, but am questioning whether these Rabbonim actually wrote/ endorsed it.

  3. I am not pleased by this Kol Koreh. I am aware as anyone about the dangers of drug use, and have always protested the movements to legalize pot. My issue is that the signatories are accepting as absolute fact that those who smoke weed are evil people who are in violation of Dvar Hashem. Conspicuously absent is the recognition that overwhelming majority of drug users are self medicating their unhappiness, misery, or other psychological discomfort. This mechanism is truly unhealthy. The primary intervention for this is not punishment, expulsion, or excommunication. It is professional help. If this was addressed by the rabbonim, it should have been reflected in the Kol Koreh. But all it says is that a drug user has no place in a kehilla.

By the way, can anyone explain our opening tefillah on Yom Kippur?

על דעת המקום ועל דעת הקהל, בישיבה של מעלה ובישיבה של מטה, אנו מתירין להתפלל עם העבריינים.

    • Yes, I hear you. The problem is, that last teffila you mentioned, is not politically correct to some. If they’re let in (the sinners/otd), it will effect kavod/status and mimeila it will effect children’s shidduchim. One can only get that “unbelievable” shidduch if his Yeshiva only accepts mitzuyanim ben mitzuyanim. As Rav Shteinman said, kavod kavod & more kavod. Pheh.

  4. Yes drugs are terrible. Pot is terrible.
Seems like a dollar short and a day late.
And know the marijuana problem is for adults too. I personally know men, and women with shaytels who smoke often. Eat marijuana edibles and oils. Jewish magazines advertise CBD products openly, others.
I am losing hope. Once you get hooked on marijuana your level of Torah observance with drop, big time.
One last thing, Oregon has decriminalized other drugs . NJ will follow in the future.

  5. Dear. Minds altered. Does anyone care.

Jack tots want cigarettes. I have seen it rising in jewish young adults. As I once, the pipe is not run well. No bob on my campus did anything but cigarettes.

Jewish turning heads. And the chilonei kids are terrifying. Any drug they bet a salvation. College has no adult. Mundane bull tonk.

Differ. Which kids see their doctor. Take that one home. Off at age 18 and no doctor for a decade. It is a ruin. May it be the discussion too.

    Booger bright.

  6. Just maybe something could have been learned from the reason that in every state in America where legalization of pot is put on the ballot the voters vote to legalize it. And the reason for this is that America has 50 years of experience of inflicting tremendous life altering consequences for those who were caught with pot. They also have 50 years of experience where 50% of Americans say they have smoked pot in their life. This includes past presidents and the most successful people in the country. This is in addition to the conclusion they found that pot use damages relatively very few of the people who use it, and that alcohol has a way greater potential for abuse and destroying lives. And so based on 50 years of experience voters decided that destroying the lives of those who are caught with pot serves almost no purpose and created allot more damage than it did good, that had they not had their lives destroyed they too would have had successful lives. Now the frum world will go through the same 50 years of destroying lives until we too conclude that it did allot more harm than good.
