A chareidi city in the center of Eretz Yisroel has been shaken to its core with the arrest of a 14-year-old boy, an eighth-grade student in a Talmud Torah, for a series of assaults against girls in a number of neighborhoods.

The arrest was made in the city of Binyamin after parents complained to the police about someone assaulting their daughters. On Tuesday, the police received two more complaints, and investigators found out that this was a regular pattern of action taken by the same boy.

During his interrogation, the boy confessed to six cases of serious assaults that he committed against girls with whom he had no previous acquaintance.

Some of the cases took place inside a warehouse, another behind a building, and in another case inside a stairwell.

So far, five complaints have been filed with the police. The police estimate that the number of cases is greater than what the boy admitted.

Dozens of police and detectives have visited the community and are collecting footage from security cameras.

Police investigators downloaded a video from a security camera in one of the neighborhoods, a video that was distributed on WhatsApp groups for identification. Later, however, a clearer picture was found that was circulated, leading to the boy’s identification and arrest.

In the video seen below, the suspect – with his face blurred 0 is seen standing in the middle of the road, and notices a girl starting to walk by. He follows her and begins to draw her in, until later, off camera, he managed to take her into a shelter in one of the building, where, according to reports, he attacked her.

    • There are פרשיות in the תורה that address the issues of both אונס and פיתוי, since both, while vile, are within the animalistic nature of a human to commit.
      Outrageous? Absolutely.
      Shocking? Unfortunately, not really.

      • that is u[pside down logic

There are pesukim that deal with murder, living with animals, sacrificing children. Any person should be shocked by any of the above

  1. Based on the video I see no evidence of any wrongdoing on his part. He walks away and she doesn’t even seem to e following him

  2. We must teach our daughters not to talk to strange boys or men, ever and never to go with them anywhere. Also, kids like this start with other behaviors and those need to be taken care of much earlier. There are clear warning signs that children can develop into predators and it’s important that parents of such children get them help right away and not be in denial. Also, even if there is a predator around, most of the time, the girls will not be victimized if they keep the laws of yichud and gender separation. May Hashem help these girls recover and get this boy the punishment and the help he needs.

    • Hilchos yichud certainly can prevent a lot of problems, but they cannot prevent an “attack” in a stairwell or the like which are public areas.

      • You are correct but the subtext of the article is that he lured girls to go with him, maybe he said he had a message from their parents, who knows. Maybe I am misreading but that was the implication. He’s probably a charismatic kid that is able to pressure or talk others into things. If you ask anyone who works with abuse victims, more than 90% are assaulted by someone they know. Assaults by strangers are much less common.

  3. This boy needs mental help now. His family should be checked & observed for possible molestations of him and any siblings he may have. Nebech.
