A new Kan 11 poll shows a dramatic shift in Israel’s political landscape, with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s Likud falling to just 21 seats and former IDF general Ofer Winter’s newly established party crossing the electoral threshold, while a separate Channel 14 survey presents a sharply different picture, giving Likud 31 seats and Netanyahu a commanding lead in the race for prime minister.
According to the Kan 11 survey, Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party would emerge as the largest faction in the Knesset with 24 seats. Likud would finish second with 21, while Naftali Bennett’s Beyachad party would strengthen to 14 seats.
Within the right-wing bloc, Otzma Yehudit would receive seven seats and Religious Zionism, led by Bezalel Smotrich, would win five. Winter’s entry into politics appears to be reshaping the competition for right-wing voters, with his new party projected to win four seats and enter the Knesset.
The remainder of the Kan 11 poll gives the Democrats nine seats, Yisrael Beytenu eight, United Torah Judaism eight, the Joint List eight, Shas seven, Ra’am five and Amcha Yisrael four. Bayit Tzioni, Blue and White and a party led by Gilad Erdan would all fail to cross the electoral threshold.
A Channel 14 poll conducted Sunday, however, produced dramatically different results. In that survey, Likud remains comfortably in first place with 31 seats, followed by Eisenkot’s Yashar with 24. Bennett’s Beyachad receives only six seats.
Channel 14 projects Otzma Yehudit, United Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beytenu at seven seats each, while Religious Zionism and Amcha Yisrael would each receive four seats.
According to the Channel 14 numbers, the right-wing bloc would command a 63-seat majority in the 120-member Knesset, compared with 45 seats for the left-wing bloc and 12 for the Arab parties.
Netanyahu also holds a substantial advantage in Channel 14’s question on suitability to serve as prime minister. Fifty-one percent of respondents chose Netanyahu, compared with 35% for Eisenkot and 10% for Bennett.
