Combat soldiers from the Kfir Brigade’s Lavi Battalion, which specializes in counter-terror operations in Yehuda and Shomron, have taken upon themselves to fulfill the mitzvah of tefillin each day as a zechus for the neshamos of Eyal Yifrach (19), Naftali Frenkel (16) and Gilad Sha’ar (16).
The tefillin were donated by the Chabad house in France headed by Rabbi Shmuel Azimov, along with Rabbi Eliyahu Zikri who manages the “tefillin for soldiers” project. A son of Rabbi Chaim Hillel came to Israel specifically to give the tefillin to the soldiers.
