Protection from two doses of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines wanes within less than six months, according to a study of phone app data Wednesday, suggesting that booster shots may be needed to ensure prolonged coverage.

The latest finding comes as several countries are rolling out additional jabs for the fully vaccinated, a move slammed by the World Health Organization as millions in the world have yet to receive a single dose.

The Pfizer jab was 88 percent effective a month after the second dose, but protection fell to 74 percent after five to six months, according to the latest analysis of data from the Zoe Covid Study.

  1. The numbers are all over the place. According to many studies the efficacy rate of the cell-based vaccines are 37% at 6 months. That’s why the booster shot was rolled out, not because the efficacy is 74%.

  2. Really?? I cant believe it! Who would’ve thunk! (sarcastic) Didn’t the CDC tell all the vaccine centers and doctors to tell everyone that the vaccine immunity is better than the natural immunity? Wow! I guess they made a mistake…

  3. Can we see some studies on how long naturally acquired immunity lasts? I know there are people whose level of antibodies eighteen months after they contracted Covid-19 was still double the minimum amount considered fully protected. Eighteen months!

  4. It wanes after 6 months after which many will start dying – if they didn’t get the placebo, the saline, which luckily most did. Anyone whose arm did not become magnetic or did not have any adverse reaction got the real stuff. Good luck! Check out why they tell people to wait at least 6 weeks before getting an MRI and you’ll understand what’s in these faxines.
