It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing of 22-year-old Rachelli Kaufman a”h this morning. Rachelli was a daughter of Rav Uri Kaufman, rov of Agudah South in Toronto.
This morning, Hatzolah and EMS were on scene at 8:45 and, shortly afterwards, this pure neshama was taken from our midst. Rachelli was in the parshah of shidduchim, and this morning she didn’t wake up.
The petirah is a major blow to the distinguished Kaufman family and the entire Toronto community.
Rav Chaim Pinchos Scheinberg, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Ore in Yerushalayim, was staying at the Kaufman home this week, but due to the tragic petirah has moved to the home of Rav Shlomo Miller, rosh kollel of Kollel Avreichim of Toronto.
Ubilah hamovess lonetzach umachah Hashem dimah mei’al kol ponim.
The levaya will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Steeles Memorial Chapel located on Steeles Avenue in Toronto.
