Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations and Senate Judiciary Committees, lambasted the Biden administration Wednesday over its decision to open an FBI investigation into whether Israeli soldiers were responsible for the death of an Arab American journalist during a firefight in Jenin this spring.
On Monday, the US informed Israel that the FBI has opened an investigation into the death of Shireen Abu Aqleh, the Al Jazeera journalist who was shot and killed while covering a firefight between IDF soldiers and Arab terrorists in Jenin in May.
Sen. Cruz said: “Joe Biden and his administration view Israel and Prime Minister-elect Benjamin Netanyahu as political enemies, and so they are responding to them the way they respond to all their political enemies: by unleashing the FBI. Our Israeli allies have, since the very beginning, cooperated closely with the United States in investigating this incident, and the State Department and Defense Departments had already drawn their conclusions.
“This outrage underscores how corrupt and blatantly politicized the Justice Department has become, and how entirely beholden to the radical left-wing Squad Democrats really are. This administration has spent its time in office weaponizing the DOJ to target their political enemies as a matter of policy, and now they have allowed that tactic to bleed into their obsession with undermining our Israeli allies.
“Everyone involved with this debacle should be fired or impeached – all the way up to Attorney General Garland.”
The Democrats created a monster in the 2016 election. They moved the campaigning for president away from the arguing points of policy to personal attack. Negative campaigning took off like a rocket because the Dems weaponized the media. It trakes corruption like that to first label the opponent as a criminal, and to later launch investigations to find a crime. Any police force that operated that way would have been disbanded. So running for office stopped being a campaign and started becoming a war. This stinks far more of socialism than democracy. But that was the idea of the Democrats, and the oilem goilem bought into it. It has now become the law of the land. If you look for a crime and can’t find one, fabricate it. That’s the Russia hoax. And that was impeachment 1 & 2.
The issue here is far greater than the abuse of the FBI to do the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel agendas of the Squad thd the rest of their thugs. It is the gross violation of the FBI’s stated purpose. The FBI is NOT involved in international affairs. This issue of the journalist was already investigated thoroughly. In stark conotrast to the Arab world, Israel does not engage in total denial and pathological lying. The investigation already concluded that Israel was responsible, though this was not a malicious terro act, but a casualty of war. No Arab country ever admitted to wrong, and they have been beyond evil and totally disconnected from civility and morality in thousands of instances. They have the blood of thousands of Jews on their hands, and they proclaim that they were fulfilling a mitzvah of some sort.
So Cruz is correct. Anyone participating in this anti-Israel witch hunt should be fired and/or impeached. How dare they engage in this process.
