A noted rosh kollel and talmid chochom, Rav Binyomin is a son of the Ponovezher Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Berel Poversky.
Rav Binyomin was hospitalized on Shvi’i Shel Pesach in the intensive care unit of Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv in very serious condition after being transferred from Hadassah Hospital in Mount Scopus.
Due to his difficult medical condition, a tefillah gathering was held today at the home of his father, Rav Berel, on Rechov Ben Zakai in Bnei Brak, and Rav Berel added the name Refoel as a zechus.
The 61-year-old Rav Binyomin, who lives in the Maalot Dafna neighborhood of Yerushalayim, is the rosh kollel of Kollel Keser Torah in the Ramot neighborhood of Yerushalayim.
