Rav Shimon Baadani, the senior member of the Moetzet Chachmeui Hatorah of Shas, was hospitalized on Friday night at Maayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak.
The 95-year-old chacham was hospitalized after he felt unwell.
Rav Shimon was very weak over Rosh Hashanah and – for the first time in many years – did not daven at Yeshivat Porat Yosef on the first day of Yom Tov, but remained at his home in Bnei Brak.
All are asked to daven for Rav Shimon ben Chaviva.
