Dear Sir at Matzav.com,
It is with a feeling sadness that I noted the absence of any article mentioning the 350 men, women and children that left America behind on August 13 and arrived in Israel on August 14, to make their new home in the land that Hakodosh Baruch Hu promised to Klal Yisrael.
A whole planeload of Jews going to settle in Eretz Yisrael and no mention of it at all? Isn’t it newsworthy?

Huh? It is a very private and personal decision on behalf of each and every one of them. The tzibur would like to occupy themselves with news that is not a personal life-decision of an individual.
(Of course if this has nothing to do with the holiness of Our Land – Eretz Yisroel – but is about a political point, then I suppose you know the answer to your question. Just please be honest – at least to yourself
Good point. It isn’t terrible that some of Matzav’s articles are a bit frivolous, but to neglect this sort of happening is sad. I assume these people made aliyah through Nefesh b’Nefesh, which is a great organization helping people make aliyah as painlessly as possible.
Perhaps Matzav could have an article or two featuring Nefesh b’Nefesh and what it does? It surely deserves mention just as much as soda taxes.
agreed!
The silence is deafening
Oh, please. Stop the baloney.
Hatzlacha Rabba to them all.
They only post important articles like “Winner of the Fiveishmobile picks up his prize.”
there are hundereds of people are preparing for shabbos today, why no mention of that? Isnt it newsworthy?
boruch Hashem they have taken the latest message from Hashem about the future serious & moved there
latest message:go now to eretz yisroel & go with fortune, wait & soon thousands will be going cause there will be no money left RL & everyone will say/know the economy is better in Eretz yisroel DONT WAIT! GO NOW
Unfortunately too comfortable in golus and no one learns the greatness of E’Y for this to make news. The people that make aliya have their priorities straight – Kol Hakovod!
I taught my sone how to swim, which is an important mitzva. Why no mention of it?
Do the right thing whether it gets into the news or not. The olim have much to be proud of and much to do. We should be zoche to be like them.
Hundreds of yidden moving to Eretz Yisroel doesn’t happen every erev shabbos. And, we talk about shabbos constantly.
M. Fried please, let me know if anyone besides for Matzav reported it. The answer is no. so what do you wnat from matzav’s life?
M Fried you are free not to read Matzav, and stick to tzionishe news-sites…
some of these letters boggle the mind
@13. “Nobody”? It made the papers in Eretz Yisroel, and on websites such as Israelnationalnews, Arutz Sheva etc etc.
Who is “nobody”?
haha i love how all these guys get all emotional about “the mitzva to live in EY” whilst for the most part (al pi chazokoh, not that all of them are) they are deficient in all other aspects of judaism. grow up, chill out, drink coke…
What’s the big deal about moving to “Israel”? I have no interest! Israel discriminates against their own! They HATE Frum people like poison! Frum people are treated like 2nd class citizens! I know. I lived there for 5 years. After 5 years of abuse, I got the hell out of there & said, never again! When Mashiach comes, I’ll go back. Untill then, I’m staying in the land of true Freedom, the USA!
