The Nobel committee unexpectedly handed the award to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the group at work destroying Syria’s weapons stockpile.
It was a surprise, especially after the buzz favored 16-year-old Pakistani student Malala Yousafzai.
