On March 26, 16-year-old Moishy (Avrohom Moshe) Kleinerman of Modiin Illit went missing after spending Shabbos in Meron. Since then, no one has seen or heard from him.

Today is the 82nd day since his disappearance and the search for him has picked up speed, with dozens of volunteers joining the search and the Israel Police setting up a special investigation team.

Another person who is helping is American philanthropist Shmuel Sackett, International Director of Am Yisrael Chai Foundation, who arrived at the Kleinerman house today and promised that whoever brings information leading to Moishy’s discovery will receive 50,000 shekels.

“A few days ago, I saw the video of the parents sitting next to me and I cried, like everybody did,” said Shmuel, “but I wanted to do more.”

He is now offering 50,000 shekels to those who provide info that can bring this boy home.

Anyone with information can call 053-284-5507 or 050-657-1577.

Moishy’s father said: “It greatly strengthens us how Klal Yisrael is mobilizing to help us in all areas, whether it is in tefillah or in chizuk and in other things. It is very empowering.”

He added, “It is impossible to describe our worry. We can no longer breathe or sleep. Every phone ring causes us to jump. It’s awful.”

Moishy’s mother said: “We really appreciate the efforts of people to help us. I do not have enough words to thank everyone for everything they have done for us. I call on the State of Israel: Bring the child home.”

According to the police, Commissioner Kobi Shabtai has appointed a special investigation team in the Criminal Investigation Unit in Samaria, and alongside him investigation teams from the Intelligence Division.

“The Israel Police will continue to take all necessary actions to locate the missing person,” police said.

The last time Moishy was seen was on Friday, the 22nd of Adar II, Erev Shabbos Kodesh Parshas Shemini, in the Meron area.

“On Motzoei Shabbos, he did not call,” says his mother, Gitty. “Three more days passed and he did not call. …Slowly the police came into the picture, and we took a private investigator to try to locate him because the police dragged their feet.”

She says that “the friends who were with him do not know what happened. They say he went out on Motzoei Shabbos with someone, but we do not really know what happened.”

    • It could be Gita. I wish someone who really knows would publicize the correct name, plus those of his parents, who are undoubtedly suffering tremendously now. That’s the least we can do.
