The IDF has revealed the identities of three soldiers who lost their lives in combat in the Gaza Strip:

  • Staff Sergeant Yakir Yedidya Schenkolewski, 21, hailing from Migdal Oz
  • Captain Eitan Fisch, 23, from Peduel
  • Sergeant Tuval Yaakov Tsanani, 20, a resident of Kiryat Gat

Additionally, four soldiers sustained severe injuries during various clashes in the northern Gaza Strip. These wounded soldiers were promptly evacuated to hospitals for medical attention, and their families have been duly informed.

The Gush Etzion Regional Council announced that Schenkolewski’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., to take place in the cemetery adjacent to Kfar Etzion.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant engaged in a situational evaluation on the Gaza border, where he received a comprehensive overview of the ongoing battles within the Gaza Strip aimed at dismantling Hamas targets. He also assessed the movements of IDF forces in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Minister Gallant commended the precision and firepower deployed since the resumption of hostilities. He acknowledged the systematic elimination of Hamas leaders across its battalions in both the city of Gaza and the northern region of the Gaza Strip.

Following the assessment, Gallant stated, “I visited the Gaza border today, accompanied by the commanding general of the southern command and the commander of the 36th Brigade, to witness firsthand the conflicts unfolding in the Gaza Strip. The Golani soldiers are here to bring a conclusion and will not withdraw until they have eradicated all terrorist infrastructure in the area.”

Gallant emphasized, “Three days into the renewed hostilities, the IDF is performing at its peak. I want to express my immense appreciation for the troops who have intensified pressure on the terrorists, eliminated the battalion commander of Shejaiyah—a heinous murderer—and are persistently advancing their operations throughout the entire area.”
