
It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the tragic passing of R’ Eli and Raizy NeyDavoud z”l of Lakewood, NJ, who were killed in a car accident last night on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey.
R’ Eli and Raizy, residents of the Wyndam 2 neighborhood in Lakewood, were en route to a wedding in Passaic, NJ, when their car was involved in an accident amid last night’s inclement weather in Tinton Falls, about 20 miles from Lakewood.
The accident also claimed the life of R’ Eli and Raizy’s first child; Raizy was in her final months of pregnancy.
R’ Eli was a son of R’ Chaim Yitzchok and Jasmin NeyDavoud of Los Angeles.
Raizy was a daughter of R’ Dovid Mordechai and Sarah Rothenberg of Lakewood.
Eli and Raizy were known as a delightful couple, with the sweetest dispositions and endearing personalities. R’ Eli was a popular rebbi at Ohel Torah in Lakewood.
R’ Eli is survived by his parents and siblings: Yehuda NeyDavoud, Ayelet NeyDavoud, Rivka NeyDavoud, Yosef Chaim NeyDavoud, Aviel NeyDavoud, Mrs. Devorah Mizrachi and Mrs. Yael Moeinzadeh.
Raizy is survived by her parents and siblings: Mrs. Esti Eidelman, R’ Yossi Rothenberg, Slavi Goldberger, R’ Yitzchok Rothenberg, R’ Nochum Rothenberg, R’ Kuppy Rothenberg, R’ Pinchos Rothenberg, Mrs. Zisy Tyberg, Mrs. Chana Adel Berkowitz and R’ Shneur Rothenberg.
The levayah will take place today at 3:30 p.m. at the Board of Ed gym located across the street from the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel in Lakewood. Kevurah will following at the adjacent Mt. Sinai bais hachaim.
