TRAGIC: 4 Killed, Many Injured in Bus Crash on Route 40 in Israel

A bus has crashed into a bus station on Route 40 near the Bedek Junction in Israel, leaving a reported 4 people dead and over a dozen injured.

The bus, #947, belonging to the Egged Company, was heading from Haifa to Yerushalayim.

The accident occurred near Yehud.

Emergency medical teams from MDA and United Hatzalah are on scene to treat the injured and take them to local hospital, including Assaf Harofey in Tzrifin, Tel Hashomer in Ramat Gan and Hasharon in Petach Tikva.

The circumstances and cause of the crash are being investigated.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Niv Hershko relayed from the scene that “Unfortunately, two men and two women have been pronounced dead after their bodies were extricated from the bus by firefighters.”
