TRAGIC: Two Bochurim Killed Upon Return from Meron

Two bochurim, Nosson Nota Rosenbaum, 18, a student of Yeshivas Toras Chaim Vizhnitz in Elad and a resident of Bnei Brak, and his cousin, Chaim Wertheimer, 14, a student of the Machnovka Belz Yeshiva of Elad and a resident of the city, were killed in a terrible accident overnight upon returning from Meron.

The levayos will be held at 7 p.m. after the Vizhnitzer Rebbe’s tish in Bnei Brak and then at 8 p.m. at Bais Medrash Imrei Boruch on Rechov Rebbi Chiya in Elad. Nosson Nota’s levayah will pass Yeshiva Toras Chaim and Chaim’s levayah will pass the Machnovka Belz Yeshiva.

Nosson Nota was a son of Reb Meir Nachman Rosenbaum, melamed at Talmid Torah Vizhnitz in Bnei Brak. Chaim was a son of Reb Yissochor Moshe Wertheimer in Elad.

Both fathers are sons-in-law of Rav Yisrael Mordechai Reich, one of the elder Chassidim of Vizhnitz who passed away on Tisha B’av two years ago.

Both boys studied at Talmud Torah Vizhnitz as children.

Yesterday, they went out to Meron together with Reb Yissochor Moshe Wertheimer, who also took his son, Dovid, and other family members to daven at the kever of Rav Shimon Bar Yochai on Zos Chanukah.

They two bochurim were killed in a car accident on the way home.

All are asked to daven for Yissochor Moshe ben Gila Fraida, Yehoshua ben Gittel, Moshe Chaim ben Margulies, and Yaakov ben Margulies, who are hospitalized at Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Chadera.
