President Donald Trump said during a rally Sunday night that Democrat Joe Biden would “listen to the scientists” and institute more coronavirus-related lockdowns if he wins the election.
The Hill reported that Trump made the remarks in Carson City, Nevada.
“He’ll listen to the scientists,” Trump said. “If I listened totally to the scientists, we would right now have a country that would be in a massive depression — instead, we’re like a rocket ship. Take a look at the numbers.”
Biden, Trump said, is “gonna want to lockdown” to help contain COVID-19, which has infected 8.3 million Americans and killed more than 224,000 since the start of this pandemic.
