President Trump’s approval rating hit 49 percent in a new Gallup poll released Tuesday, his highest mark in that poll since he took office.

The poll, which was released on the eve before Senate voted to acquit him on impeachment charges and at the outset of an election year, found 50 percent of those surveyed disapprove of Trump’s job performance. Just 1 percent of respondents said they had no opinion.

Trump’s previous high approval rating in the Gallup poll was 46 percent, a number he reached in May after former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation did not charge him with obstruction of justice or establish he conspired with Russia.

  1. Trump’s phony approval rating is “49, his highest mark”. Not really. He recently had 51% which = 100% because they never go higher than that for President Trump. It’s always between 39 and 51. In a few weeks their self-made “approval rating” will go down again to 43, wait and see. Whoever trusts or even reads this nonsensical approval rating is an idiot. Remember when they made their approval rating for Hillary 97% before the 2016 election? Where is she now…?
