Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday on Newsmax TV’s “Greg Kelly Reports” that he knew he had hired a “loser” in General Mark Milley, who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

When asked about Milley’s apology of the walk to the church set on fire by rioters outside the White House after George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Trump said, “He was recommended by people that I didn’t think much of, and he was also recommended by a couple of people that I thought were just absolutely terrible. I decided, you know, Mattis, I call them the world’s most overrated general. Mattis hated him, hated him. I figured based on the fact that I thought very little of Mattis. We did a great job without Mattis. Once I got rid of Mattis, we took over — we knocked out ISIS and everything else. I said, ‘if he hates Milley that much, maybe the guy will be all right.”

Trump continued, “I found him to be very average or less than average. I will say this when he walked with the president of the United States to a church that had been burned down almost if they didn’t have the fireproofing, which was just put up. It was literally so amazing because that church was built at the same time as the White House. They went up together. When he went and took that walk, and then he apologized because the radical left started getting on him, I realized I had a loser. I paid very little respect to him. He wasn’t very good. So I am not a fan of his.”

  1. Milley is not just a loser, he’s a dangerous incompetent General. Instead of concentrating on Afghanistan and other trouble spots, he’s all concerned about wokism and Karenism. This overweight shlub wants to implement CRT into the military. He’s out of his mind. Is this the Generals greatest concern?! Is White supremacy an issue when we fight terrorists overseas??? What does some DNC talking points about some racism in South Chicago have to do with fighting wars??? Congress should impeach this fat duffus immediately.

  2. Most of President Trump’s appointments were traitors and backstabbers, which talks volumes about his inability to determine people. Therefore, Trump should play golf and troll the establishment, and let DeSantis run in 2024.

    • You seem to ignore the facts (or hope we are so stupid) and implicitly talk as if Trump is a Democrat dictator. First and foremost, Trump was never in the (political) system, so he started from absolute scratch while being dragged down by the entire establishment. The speed at which he learned and got things at least moving is astounding. And, of course, he did not choose the biased Democrat judges that kept blocking and banning his endeavours. Next, the choice of candidates was very limited, first because only those already in the system were even allowed to be chosen as candidates in the first place (and Obama before he left office made sure to get rid of anyone who would have been worthy of being chosen), and second because even after being chosen they had to be confirmed by the Senate.

      • 9:48, read and try comprehending my 11:49 comment. All I said that President Trump barked a lot but did not succeed in actual biting. For whatever reason — if he wasn’t aware that the establishment will fight him tooth and nail, then he shouldn’t have taken the job to begin with. Besides, a president has an authority to fire federal employees at will and to declassify the secrets, which he rarely used. Just imagine a world where Trump would have fired thousands of high-level FBI, NSA, CIA employees on his first day in office and declassified 99% of the so-called state secrets, but he didn’t. The ending result of his presidency is that he did not drain the swamp. Period. Hence, as President Trump’s supporter who had voted twice for the man, I state: it’s time to cut losses and find a real pitbull to run in 2024. DeSantis seems to be just what the doctor ordered: talks little but intelligently, hits hard, and his strikes are aimed strategically.

  3. While Trump would not have exited Afghanistan chaotically the way Biden did, he nevertheless, was planning on pulling out all the troops from the country. After a complete troop withdrawal, there is no way in the world that the Taliban would not have taken over full control and governance of that country. And despite those who say US troops should not remain there because it’s not America’s job to promote Democracy, troops should have remained there, so that Afghanistan could never return to what is once was, a harbor of terrorism. It’s utter foolishness and recklessness to completely withdraw from there. This is not hindsight analysis, or rocket science; this is common sense. Trump was planning on negotiating with the Taliban in Camp David. Ridiculous! Even Trump’s tough stance on Iran crumbles as soon as he starts talking about negotiating a deal with Iran that would remove economic sanctions, which, common sense dictates, would only strengthen the Mullahs and their malevolent activities, even if they postpone their nuclear ambitions. Biden and Obama are the worst, but Trump – like his predecessor – has an appeasement mentality, and that’s a problem.

  4. losers hire losers
people that are not much to be thought of have advisers they don’t think much of
the world’s most overrated attract the world’s most overrated
average or less than average people will surround themselves with average or less than average people

and so on and so forth….. should I add that bankrupt people got the country bankrupt, despite and after a solid full decade of economic growth?
