Donald Trump said a New York law enabling Congress to ask for his state tax returns no longer applies because he isn’t president.
The law, known as the Trust Act, allows the state to share the president’s tax information with a congressional committee that asks for it.Trump sued the House Ways and Means Committee to block it from requesting information.
“While the Trust Act is not the clearest statute, the best reading is that it does not apply to former presidents,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in a report to U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols in Washington, asking that he accept their interpretation.
Trump had also sued the New York attorney general’s office and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance to block them from handing over the information to Congress.

There is the old cliche saying: “You can’t have your cake and eat it!” which means that you cannot continue to hold onto your cake when you eat it, for once you start eating it, it is no longer there! This statement in essence says the same fact as the other famous cliche: “You can’t have it both ways!” which means that you cannot do at the same time two things that are in contradiction to each other.
So, here, if, I repeat, IF, on January 6, 2021, the Congress of the United States would have done what was correct and rejected all the wicked fabricated Biden votes and, instead, accepted only the legitimate votes — which were overwhelmingly for President Trump — and thus set President Trump to continue to be the next president, then, right now, they could all be sitting with him looking all over his tax records. However, on January 6, 2021, most of the Congress of the United States DID NOT do that; instead, they gladly accepted all of the wicked fabricated Biden votes AS IF they were full legitimate votes and thus set Biden to be the next (so-called) “president” and President Trump to NOT BE the next president.
So, now that, according to their wishes and wants and declarations and certifications, President Trump is now not the current president but only a FORMER president — and, many of them vehemently want to rip even that title off of him too — his private tax returns are absolutely none of their bloody blasted business!!!!!!!!!!

So when he was president, he argued that they shouldn’t get documents because they couldn’t investigate a sitting president, and now he argues that they can’t get the documents because he ISN’T president anymore. Inconsistent logic.
