President Donald Trump once again hit out at Georgia’s Brian Kemp on Sunday night, calling the Republican governor a “fool” and a “clown” for not calling a special session of the legislature to enforce signature verification on election ballots.
“What a fool Governor @BrianKempGA of Georgia is. Could have been so easy, but now we have to do it the hard way,” Trump tweeted. “Demand this clown call a Special Session and open up signature verification, NOW. Otherwise, could be a bad day for two GREAT Senators on January 5th.”
Minutes earlier, the president wrote on Twitter, “Democrats weakened the Signature Verification (and other) safeguards in Georgia. @staceyabrams played @BrianKempGA & Secretary of State, for fools. Consent Decree, which is terrible for Republicans (and honest people!), must be opened up NOW – David, Kelly, and I will then win!”
The tweet concerning former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and the consent decree was tagged by Twitter. A warning label on the post reads: “This claim about election fraud is disputed.”
