President Donald Trump told Mexico’s leader that his proposed border wall is “the least important thing that we are talking about,” according to a transcript of the January call published by The Washington Post on Thursday.
Trump told President Enrique Peña Nieto the wall is only important politically, adding he’s in a “political bind because I have to have Mexico pay for the wall.” Trump told Australia’s prime minister before hanging up, “Putin was a pleasant call. This is ridiculous.” Read more.
