Two students at Yeshiva University are being watched closely for signs of the Coronavirus, the university announced Tuesday.

“We have learned that one of the children of the Westchester attorney identified as New York’s second case of COVID-19 is an undergraduate male student at Yeshiva University,” a letter from the university said. “We are working closely with, and following the recommendations of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) and the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response and other government agencies to take every necessary precaution to ensure the safety of our community. The student has not been on campus since Thursday, February 27th and is in quarantine with his family. The DOHMH is testing the family.

“Additionally, a Cardozo student is in self-quarantine as instructed by their doctor, as a precaution because of contact with the patient’s law firm. The Cardozo student is reporting no symptoms.

“The University is disinfecting all relevant common areas.

“We will continue to work closely with the DOHMH and will share information as we receive it. In the meantime, we urge you to follow the CDC’s guidelines on hand-washing and sanitary practices that prevent the spread of viruses. If you feel you have symptoms, contact your doctor or call 311.

At this time, all University functions and classes are continuing to operate as usual.”

The student, an undergraduate male, is the son of Lawrence Garbuz, a Jewish attorney from Westchester who was the second New Yorker to test positive for the coronavirus. Lawrence is currently hospitalized in serious condition at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia in Washington Heights.

  1. There has not been an announcement that they have contracted the virus. Please edit that they have been quarantined out of abundance of caution.

  3. Rabbi Dr. Glatt is talking on a conference call now. He said a study just came out. They studied about 400 people who were in close contact with 10 people who had coronavirus. They were in the same vicinity for at least ten minutes, some household contacts, and only 2 out of the over 400 got coronavirus.

  4. Where these 2 student in Wuhan and radiation beamed on them?

Coronavirus is a combination of the common flu plus radiation, as it was in Wuhan, China, where they beamed 5G radiation onto the people. Since radiation cannot be transmitted, there’s no way anyone in the US contracted Coronavirus. In the US, it’s nothing more than the yearly flu or pneumonia.
