As many as 80,000 Jews are expected to spend Pesach in Orlando, Florida this year. That’s 20,000 fewer than last year ostensibly due to an increase in the number of people returning to hotel programs.

Most of these people have no relatives in Orlando or any particular connection to the city, but they will join the tens of thousands making the pilgrimage to Central Florida for Pesach.
“It’s become a real destination,” Menachem Lubinsky, who operates Kosher Today, told Jewish Insider.

Lubinsky estimates that 55,000 Orthodox Jews will visit Orlando during Pesach, which is more than Orlando’s year-round Jewish population of 51,000.

Others peg the number at higher, somewhere between 60,000 and 80,000 people.

“Because these communities are all these residential areas, it’s almost become mini Jewish towns, but only for a short period of time,” Dani Klein, a marketing professional who runs the website Yeah That’s Kosher, told the Jewish Insider.

100,000 Yidden went to Orlando for Pesach last year?

That would be the equivalent of the entire frum Boro Park or a community larger than the entire frum Lakewood going to Orlando for Pesach

    Does this make sense?

  2. Why would so many Yidden abandon their Rav and Kehilla davka on Yom Tov? That is the time to be michazeik them. Where is the reineh yiras shomayim?

  3. I’m curious as to what the breakdown is as far as where everyone going there is from. How many from Lakewood? How many from Toms River? How many from Jackson? How many from Marine Park? How many from 5 Towns?

  4. mamosh showing what it will be like when Moshiach comes and we will all travel to Yerushalayim, I see only the positive in fellow Yidden.
