Vivek Ramaswamy, a contender for the GOP presidential candidacy, has expressed his preference for a reduction in the assistance provided to Israel. These statements were made in the context of an interview conducted by Russell Brand on the Rumble platform, as reported by The Jerusalem Post.

Ramaswamy’s stance revolves around the notion that Israel should not receive a larger share of aid than its neighboring nations in the Middle East. He points out that the existing aid package of $38 billion, set to expire after 2028, should not entail further additional aid. He argues that post-2028, maintaining stability in the Middle East can be achieved by fostering greater integration between Israel and its regional partners.

“Israel should not receive preferential treatment from the United States, even though our relationship with Israel has advanced American interests” over time, he maintained.

“There’s no North Star commitment to any one country, other than the United States of America.”

Moreover, he advocates for the expansion of the Abraham Accords and envisions a scenario where Israel becomes more interconnected with its neighboring countries, thus enabling it to achieve financial independence.

The origins of his comments on Israel trace back to a question raised by a viewer. Ramaswamy emphasizes that while the United States’ relationship with Israel has historically served American interests, he firmly believes that Israel should not be granted preferential treatment. He asserts that the guiding commitment should be towards the United States of America itself, rather than any specific foreign nation.

Contrasting with his main rival for the presidential nomination, former President Donald Trump, Ramaswamy’s statements set him apart. Trump has long been recognized as a staunch supporter of Israel. Ramaswamy’s vision extends beyond this, as he proposes the initiation of “Abraham Accords 2.0.” In this sequel to the diplomatic initiative, he envisions the involvement of nations such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Indonesia, as mentioned in Haaretz.

  1. Quite funny because on other platforms he’s said just the opposite. One has to wonder if the leftist media is starting to turn on him.

  2. ISRAEL DOESN’T NEED US AID. THE AID IS AN INDIRECT SUBSIDY OF US ARMS INDUSTRIES. ISRAEL SHOULD DECLARE INDEPENDENCE AND MAKE IT’S OWN MILITARY SUPPLIES.

  3. Ukraine has been supported more than all of Israel_State’s history, and Meir Kahane said that Israel is a client of America due to being funded by it.

    • In a way, America needs it more than Israel. It’s not the actual financial assistance, rather, it’s more of a symbolic act of friendship.

      Same goes with Israel.
