Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said yesterday that Democrat Hillary Clinton advocates a foreign policy that is too meek to deal with America’s enemies and rivals.

Clinton would likely mirror President Obama’s diplomatic softness if she were elected into the White House next year, the Republican presidential candidate added.

“America needs a foreign policy that puts steel in front of our enemies,” he told listeners at the RedState Gathering in Atlanta.

“Under Obama and Clinton, [Russian President Vladimir] Putin has found far too many years of mush,” Walker said.

“No more pivot to Asia,” he added. “We need to speak out about the wrongs that are happening in China. We need to address their abysmal human rights record.”

Walker said Obama’s agreement with Iran over its nuclear arms research is the pinnacle of his failure on global affairs.

“This guy is not a very good negotiator,” he said of Obama. “I would love to play cards with this guy as he folds on just about everything.”

“Iran is not a place we should be doing business with,” Walker said. “We have a president who drew a line in the sand and let it get crossed.”

“If I am your president, I will terminate the deal with Iran on my very first day in office,” he added. “I will reinstate the sanctions and impose more crippling ones and then convince our allies to do the same.”

The Wisconsin governor also challenged Clinton’s assertions that her tenure as secretary of State makes her an expert on global events.

“Hillary Clinton is going to claim she has the upper hand in foreign policy,” Walker said.

“Everywhere in the world that she has touched is more messed up today than it was when she and the president took office,” he said.

Walker’s remarks come as he vies with 16 other Republicans for their party’s 2016 presidential nomination.

Clinton, meanwhile, is largely considered the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.

Walker urged the GOP to remain unified as it gears up for possible battle with Clinton next election cycle.

“That’s a good thing, as long as we are talking about issues,” he said of the vast Republican 2016 field. “As long as we’re talking about issues and not nonsense, not hysteria.”

“Hillary Clinton is our next opponent,” Walker added. “Sometimes people forget that. If we’re going to take on a name from the past, we need a name of the future.”

“Who is best equipped to make sure Hillary Clinton is not the next president of the United States?” he asked. “Hillary Clinton could be the next deceiver-in-chief, but we cannot trust her to be the next commander-in-chief.”
