Who was matir a camera on shabbos? They could of acted out shabbos on ,say Thursday night and it would be ok. The yeridas hadoros has never been greater. Once Shabbos is compromised the results are schrecklech. Everything happens for the yidden. When we aren’t yidden the world and us suffer
I refrained from commenting before, but I feel I cannot anymore refrain from commenting due to one of the prior comments.
I am sure the people involved in this meant well, and I admire the great care that they took to avoid violating melachos on Shabbos including amira liNachri.
But I cannot imagine that any Rav with functioning Daas (Torah) would encourage or perhaps even allow something like this, even if all the hilchos Shabbos issues were fully addressed both in theory and in practice, as could very well have been the case here.
It would likely take a full-length article to go over all the points of why this likely should not have taken place.
Again, I am sure the people involved all meant well. But if Matzav feels they have to report this, then they should at least change the embedded video to a link.

My issue is with YOU, MATZAV!!! You obviously have no Rabbonim in your lives with whom to consult. Which is your prerogative, except you purport to be a Torah-true forum. You are not!
What is wrong with this video is PRECISELY the fact that technically, no one “did anything wrong.” It is this type of maneuvering, which, while MAYBE halachically sound, undermines the YESOD of Shabbos: its KEDUSHAH!

This video will without a doubt cause a diminishment in the eyes of people of the Kedushah of Shabbos.
