Those who say that a vaccine mandate is “fundamentally against America” don’t know their American history.
The first vaccine mandate in the history of America and probably the world was issued by George Washington in February, 1775 when he mandated that the entire continental army be inoculated for Small Pox which was spreading through the colonies at the time. There were no “religious” exemptions.
So vaccine mandates are as American as General George Washington!
That was for the continental, meaning pre-USA, army.
1. The rules for a volunteer army are very different from those for the citizens.
2. This was prior to the founding of the country.
So, no, this is indeed very un-American.
These “vaccines” don’t work like that one did. These simply claim to reduce symptoms but do not stop infection and do not stop transmission.
