The reporter who broke the story about a majority draft opinion signaling that the Supreme Court is ready to overturn abortion rights enshrined in the Constitution since Roe v. Wade appeared within minutes on TV to discuss the unprecedented leak Monday night.
Josh Gerstein, a senior legal affairs reporter for Politico, said he is confident in his sourcing and the authenticity of the document for the report. He shares a byline with national security reporter Alexander Ward.

Seems there is agreement that such a leak is so unusual as it may even be unprecedented. And the only cogent reason that someone would make such a leak is to put public pressure on the court to change it (and included in that is to use this as a scare tactic in the upcoming mid-terms). And that seems to be the tactic, as even this video itself throws the specious allegation that the Republicans are already planning to pass a federal law banning all abortions. The absurdity and inconsistency of the video’s argument says it all. The video itself states the draft argument is that only states have a constitutional right to decide abortion matters – and from there the video concludes (against all reason) that the draft decision means the Federal government can ban abortions.

Whoever leaked the story to him should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s imperative that the Supreme Court justices are able to discuss matters privately, without the information coming forth. Granted in this case, or for most other cases, we know which way the court is going to be going. What we don’t know is exactly who on the court, of the alleged swing votes, which way they’ll be going.
That needs to be an investigation immediately. They need to come to a conclusion immediately and not drag this on forever and ever and ever because all that will do is destroy any confidence we might have left in our Supreme Court. This is something the left is hoping for because they keep trying to destroy us.
If it ends up coming out that one of the Supreme Court justices allowed or authorized this report to come out, they should be impeached.
