Valid point. We always value life and always will. That is why I am calling on all rabbonim to announce, and our whole community to follow: that from now on everyone not go out in public without a space suit. Forget about Covid-19 variants which have not been proven to reinfect people at a significant rate. Even if all you have is a common cold, you never know what you might cause. For example, if someone undergoing chemotherapy (r”l) catches it, it is incredibly dangerous. Whomever does not follow this is a rodef.

If you’re afraid to stand next to me because I don’t wear a mask, put on a double mask, triple, four, five or ten. I don’t care. I will not wear a mask for you nor for anyone else. The mask I wear for entering certain places are fake – they save me from poisonous CO2 and fool others. I still have the first one I purchased a year ago in perfect condition. So you can see how much I wear it.
So we are supposed to wear masks indefinitely for the rest of our lives just because something MIGHT happen? What’s the point of the vaccine then? Rand Paul is 100% correct. Faucci goes back to his little corner of obscurity once the masks come off
I came to realize that rand paul isn’t someone to take seriouslsly. he’s involved in spreading in dangerous misinformation and conspiracy theories. Besides being involved in questioning the elections, more dangerously he was suggesting a couple of months a ago when probably less then 30% got the virus, that there was herd immunity. So as you can see he seems like a dangerous spreader of wrong information.
I am amazed when I read what Senator Rand Paul ‘comes out with’! He is a licensed MD, graduate of a prestigious Medical School (Duke University) & a ‘Boarded’ specialist (Ophthalmologist). AND, the son of a Physician (Ron Paul, MD).
Vaccinated individuals, as well as those who have recovered, following a Covid-19 episode, may, & can, contract the Virus. But, will not develop gross symptoms of Covid-19 infestation, because of antibodies which their Immune System has developed, However, they will, in all probability be “Carriers” of the Virus particles, & can transmit the infectious agents to individuals they come in contact with.
Wearing a face mask, which covers both the nose & mouth, IS, the primary & simplest preventive measure in reducing Person-to-Person transmission of the infective agent. Not to mention, So Easy to comply with.
I neglected to point out, that both Drs. Anthony Fauci (Director of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases) & Rochelle Walensky (Director of the Center for Disease Control), recommend facial mask wearing as the first & foremost weapon in the “battle” against Covid-19 transmission. They are the “Maivens” & “Poskei Ha’Dor” in the area of Infectious Diseases. As are numerous other Physicians throughout the Country.

AND even though I firmly believe FAUXI was put there by Hashem and it is so obvious that he flip flops on every issue and knows less about COVID than the average Joe , Rand Paul is wrong about one point — the vaccine doesn’t stop transmition or prevent a person from getting the virus — which is clearly stated on the CDC website under COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs for Healthcare Professionals: “At this time, we do not know if COVID-19 vaccination will have any effect on preventing transmission. Some people can be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 but remain asymptomatic.”
