Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky made a blistering attack on Henry Kissinger, after the former US Secretary of State appeared to suggest that Ukraine should cede territory to Russia in peace negotiations. Zelensky compared Kissinger’s views to the appeasement of Nazi Germany in 1938.

Kissinger is approaching this situation the same way he approached the Israeli-Arab wars. He wanted Israel to lose the war and cede territory. He thought of himself as the master chess player, manipulator and strategist who could force the world to be reshaped as he saw fit, in order to bring about a fake long term solution that would only make Israel weaker and more vulnerable. It wasn’t until Nixon intervened and said “Enough is enough, Henry, I may not be a friend of Israel, but I can’t let Israel lose the war to those who wish to wipe it out, to those who wish to dominate and control the entire middle east”, that Israel finally received backing from the US to fend off the the Arab armies who were trying to devour it. Kissinger is an appeaser who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else in the room. Mr. Diplomat, no one needs your crooked negotiating tactics.
