Shira’s journey is far from over.
She urgently needs specialized care in Denver, and getting her there is only part of the challenge. Once she receives the care she so desperately needs, we must also find a way to bring her safely back home.
Insurance coverage is limited and will not begin to cover the enormous cost of transporting Shira. No organization will pay for it. The responsibility falls on us.
The transportation itself is complicated and extremely expensive. Shira will need to travel by medical flight which costs approx. $42,000 Each Way ($84,000 total).
This is Not a luxury. It is Not an optional expense. It is a critical part of Shira’s care and recovery.
We have to get Shira to Denver & Back Home. We have to give her the opportunity to receive the specialized care she needs. And then, when the time comes, we have to bring her safely home.
