ANSWERS

  • Why is maseches Nazir in Seider Nashim?

Because wine is the cause of a woman committing adultery and someone who sees the demise of a sotah should become a nazir.

  • If someone said “I will be”, is he a nazir? Explain.

Yes, but only if a nazir was passing by him at that moment.

  • Why is only a nazir that became tamei called a sinner, but not one who remained tahor?

When he becomes tamei and has to redo all the days that passed, he feels like it is a big burden, is thus prone to regretting having accepted the nezirus, and the korbanos are thus akin to chulin ba’azarah.

  • “I hereby accept upon myself to bring birds-that-are-close-to-hair (in the pasuk)” – is that statement alone enough to make him a nazir?

Machlokes (whether or not one can be matfis with samuch).

  • First he said, “I hereby take a shvuah that I am going to drink this cup of wine”, and then he accepted upon himself a vow of nezirus. Can he drink that cup of wine?

No

  • What is the sevara to say that a bechor (animal) is NOT considered a davar ha’nadur?

Even if you are not makdish it, it is kados anyway.

  • From where do we learn the halacha that stam nezirus is thirty days?

Machlokes, either the gematria of yihiyeh, or from the words ad m’los.

  • Do we say miktzas ha’yom k’kulo when it comes to nezirus? Elaborate briefly.

On the first day of the nezirus, yes, according to all opinions.  On the last day of the nezirus, one opinion says no, and the other says yes, and according to this latter opinion it is a machlokes if that is so only after he brought his korbanos, or even before.

  • “I am hereby one big nazir”. How many days does he have to be a nazir?

30

  • What is the difference between “nazir olam”, e.g. when he says “I am hereby a nazir all the days of my life”, and “nazir l’olam”, e.g. when he says “I am hereby a nazir for 1,000 years”?

Nazir olam can cut off some of his hair with a blade (every year, thirty days, or week –machlokes tannaim-) and brings korbanos when he does that, whereas nazir l’olam never cuts his hair and never brings korbanos and remains with the prohibitions of nezirus his entire life.
